Chapter 25 - Holden and Phoebe
in the last chapter Holden goes to meet his sister for the last time as he wishes to run away somewhere where no one recognises him. When he walks down the street, he seems to remember everything relating to his sister, like the time where he goes shoe shopping, this makes him kind of happy and sad at the same time because he is about to leave her. After telling Phoebe that she can't come with him, they spend the rest of the day on the carousel rides, whilst watching Phoebe have a really good time, Holden gets a sentimental feeling because he is being reminded of his own childhood and how happy he used to be. Seeing Phoebe have such a good time, he lost his urge of fleeing from the world and himself, even though it was raining pretty hard, he still wouldn't move to shelter because he enjoyed seeing his little sister have the childhood he had already passed. In the end he is persuaded to stay around and his feeling of happiness is returned to him by his sister.

Catcher and The Rye - First chapter
The first chapter of 'The Catcher and The Rye' was very short and snappy, but that is what makes it interesting because the author tries to tell alot of thing in a short period of time. We learnt, in the first chapter that the main character goes to Pencey school and that he was kicked out, also his name is mentioned by his teacher's wife. His name is Holden. So basically the first chapter whizzes throught the most important parts of the story, to give the reader just a summary of how fast Holden lives his life?
